Habib University eligibility criteria, in plain English
Eligibility is where most applicants over-worry. Habib accepts a broad range of qualifications and assesses non-standard cases individually. If you have a completed secondary qualification and want to apply, chances are you can, the real question is what evidence you need to submit alongside it.
School-specific expectations
DSSE applicants are expected to have quantitative subjects in their secondary qualification, mathematics is the load-bearing one. AHSS applicants have more flexibility on subject mix, but strong performance in language and humanities is looked on favourably.
Minimum thresholds
Habib doesn't publish a single 'minimum grade' the way some universities do, because the assessment is holistic. That said, competitive applicants generally clear the equivalent of a strong second-class band in their qualification. Below that, the entrance test and personal statement need to do more work.
If you're a non-standard applicant
Home-schooled, gap year, mid-cycle transfer, foreign qualification, non-traditional route, all of these are workable. Contact Habib admissions early with your transcript so they can tell you exactly what documentation they'll need. Don't self-select out because your case looks unusual on paper.
What eligibility doesn't decide
Meeting eligibility gets you into the applicant pool. It doesn't get you an offer. Everything above the threshold, entrance test score, essay, interview, transcript strength, is what actually decides admissions. Treat eligibility as the door, not the destination.
