Habib University admission requirements, without the guesswork

Habib accepts a wide range of secondary qualifications, so long as they meet the university's minimum thresholds. The commonest routes are A Levels, O Levels combined with a further qualification, FSc / HSSC, and the American High School Diploma. International qualifications like the IB Diploma are also accepted.

• A Levels, at least three subjects with passing grades relevant to the intended school.
• FSc / HSSC, with a strong percentage in the relevant subject stream.
• IB Diploma, minimum overall score set by Habib for the year.
• American High School Diploma with a competitive GPA and SAT.
• Other international qualifications assessed case by case.

Every applicant sits the Habib University entrance test unless they submit an SAT score at or above Habib's published waiver threshold. The test is Accuplacer-based and has different math sections for DSSE and AHSS applicants. There's also a proctored, timed essay that counts separately.

Shortlisted applicants are invited to an interview, conducted by faculty and admissions staff. It's a conversation about how you think and why Habib, not a technical exam. Most applicants under-prepare for it, don't be one of them.

• Official transcripts from your secondary school.
• Copies of your qualification certificates (A Level, FSc, IB, etc.).
• CNIC or passport copy.
• Recent passport-size photograph.
• Personal statement, submitted through the online application.
• Financial-aid documentation, if applying for need-based support.

Habib admissions are holistic. The entrance test and transcript are the floor, everything above the floor, essay, interview, personal statement, extracurriculars, is where the offer is decided. Meeting the requirements gets you into the pool. Standing out gets you the offer.
