A Levels are one of the most common qualifications in the Habib applicant pool. If you're on the A Level track, you're already on a well-worn path into Habib. The specifics that matter, subject mix, minimum grades, and whether the entrance test is still required, are covered below.
A Level applicants are accepted for both DSSE and AHSS. You'll apply through the same portal as every other applicant and follow the same process, entrance test, essay, interview, transcript. The A Level qualification counts as your secondary certificate.
DSSE applicants are expected to have taken mathematics at A Level, or a strong quantitative subject in its place. Additional science subjects (physics, chemistry, computer science) strengthen the file. If you didn't take A Level maths, DSSE is still workable but the entrance test's Advanced Algebra & Functions section becomes the make-or-break part of your application.
AHSS is more flexible on subject mix. Humanities, social sciences, and language subjects at A Level all fit the profile. Strong writing samples in your personal statement carry weight here, more than the exact subject combination.
A Levels don't exempt you from the entrance test. You'll sit the same Accuplacer sections and the same essay as every other applicant, unless you submit an SAT score at or above Habib's waiver threshold. If you're an AS-level applicant with predicted grades only, Habib may still accept your application subject to final results.
