The Habib University entrance test is not one long exam, it's a sequence of short adaptive sections plus a written essay. Knowing the pattern before you sit down removes half the stress on test day, and it lets you pace your prep across sections that behave differently.
You'll sit four short computer-adaptive sections on the Accuplacer platform, plus a timed proctored essay. DSSE applicants sit one extra math section (Advanced Algebra & Functions) that AHSS applicants skip. Every section is individually timed, and once the clock starts, it doesn't stop.
Each Accuplacer section gets its own score. Habib pays attention to per-section scores against published cutoffs, not just the overall total. A very strong score in one section cannot rescue a weak score in another. The essay is scored separately across Reading, Analysis, and Writing.
The math and English sections are adaptive, the test picks the next question based on how you answered the last. You cannot skip and come back. That's why the first few questions in each section matter more than the last few, get them right and the whole section adapts upward.
