Life at Habib, beyond the entrance test
Habib is a small campus with a busy year. Between classes, students run one of the most active event calendars of any Pakistani university, Model UNs, Comic Con, qawwali nights, concerts, carnivals, film screenings, sports tournaments, and a rotating list of student-society productions. Below is a taste of what campus life actually looks like when you're not sitting the entrance test.

The events students actually talk about
Some of these run every year, some rotate, and some appear because a single society decides to pull off something new. The list below is what applicants tend to hear about most from current students and alumni.
- HUMUN, Habib's Model United Nations conference, one of Karachi's larger university-hosted MUNs.
- Comic Con, a student-run pop-culture festival with cosplay, panels, and open-mic slots.
- Qawwali nights, hosted on campus and drawing full crowds from across the city.
- Concerts, from student bands to invited artists on the main lawn.
- Carnivals, food stalls, rides, and society showcases across a full day.
- Film screenings and open-mic evenings run by the film and literature societies.

Societies that keep the calendar full
Habib has a dense society scene for its size, everything from a debating society and MUN team to film, photography, literature, robotics, and gaming societies. Most events on campus are organised by students, which is why the year feels different depending on which cohort is running which society.
Why it matters for applicants
The events aren't a distraction from academics, they're part of why Habib works. The core curriculum pushes students to think across disciplines; the event calendar gives them the room to do it in public. If a Habib year feels intense, it's because the classroom, the societies, and the events are all pulling in the same direction.
