Habib math practice, from arithmetic to advanced

Math is where most Habib offers are decided. The exam covers three separately scored math sections, and Habib publishes per-section thresholds, so a monster Arithmetic score cannot rescue a weak Advanced Algebra score. Practising as one blob doesn't work.

What Habib math actually covers

Arithmetic, fractions, decimals, percentages, ratios, word problems.
Algebra, linear equations, systems, inequalities, exponents, quadratics.
Functions, evaluating, transforming, and interpreting function behaviour.
Trigonometry, right-triangle trig and unit-circle basics (DSSE only).
Statistics, mean, median, mode, and reading data displays.

How to structure your math prep

Diagnose first. Take a section-by-section mock and look at which of the three math sections has the biggest gap to Habib's cutoff. That's where you spend most of your time. Rotating between topics daily beats hammering one topic for a week, spaced retrieval is what makes the material stick.

DSSE vs AHSS math

AHSS applicants sit Arithmetic and QAS only. DSSE applicants sit all three math sections, including Advanced Algebra & Functions. If you're applying to DSSE and haven't done trig or logs in a year, that gap is your first priority.
