The Habib interview isn't a viva. It's a conversation, and interviewers can tell within two minutes whether you're being yourself or reading from a mental script. Below are the tips current Habib students give applicants in mock-interview feedback, distilled.

Before the interview

Book a mock interview once your test date is confirmed, don't wait for the offer letter.
Pick three stories from your life you'd genuinely want to talk about.
Know why you chose your school (DSSE or AHSS), specifically, not generically.
Read one long article you care about the day before, it settles nerves better than re-reading your personal statement.

During the interview

Pause before answering, one second of thinking is not silence, it's confidence.
If you don't know something, say so, and pivot to what you do know.
Ask a real question at the end, one you actually want the answer to.
Don't check your notes, don't glance at the ceiling, hold the interviewer's attention.

After the interview
